Full Moon Gatherings

Pink Full Moon

We gather on Saturday the 12 April 2025 between 18:30 and 20:00 under the light of the Pink Full Moon to dance, to connect, to meditate. We gather as a community to honour the cycles of the moon and what this may mean for us personally.

The Pink Moon was a symbol of the rebirth and renewal of life, as it coincided with the blooming of pink flowers and the return of animals to their natural habitat after a long winter. the Pink Moon is a time of spiritual awakening and connection with the natural world. This is a time to prioritize our emotional well-being and nourish our souls. Engaging in activities such as meditation, journaling, or spending time in nature can help us reconnect with our inner selves and cultivate a sense of peace and tranquility. We can then create a visual representation of our goals by using a vision board or creating a manifestation altar.

Dancing in nature is such a freeing and invigorating experience.

Conscious Dance is an embodied practice of movement and free flowing dance that integrates emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. We embark on a movement journey allowing moments of gentle flow, natural rhythm, release, elation, stillness and reflection.

Dress up warmly as it is still quite cold out there. A Winter coat is essential.

Our headphones allow for an immersive experience. The use of our silent disco headsets are included, but are limited, so please book ahead on Eventbrite or contact us directly at info@sunfiredance.com.

All welcome.

Please note that this event is weather dependent and may be cancelled at the last minute. So please ensure that you included your mobile number in the event that we need to contact you.

Past Moon Gatherings

The FULL BLOOD WORM FULL MOON in VIRGO is on the 14th March 2025 and it is also is Lunar Eclipse, which will be partially visible in the UK. Astrologically speaking, it is a powerful event, as well as being Astronomically interesting to behold.

WHEN TO SEE THE LUNAR ECLIPSE The partial lunar eclipse will be visible during the early hours of 14 March 2025 in the UK, from 3:57am before peaking at 6:19am. The best chance of seeing it is by having a high vantage point and a clear view of the western horizon - weather permitting, of course. The moon will appear red, known as a Blood Moon.

MOON RISE Sunset will occur at 18:02 in the UK on Friday, 14 March 2025, with moonrise at 18:29.

SIGNIFICANCE March's full moon is in the sign of Virgo and focuses on practicality, organization, routines, and responsibility.

This can mean anything from spring cleaning your home, to starting a new healthy habit, even unloading personal baggage that's been weighing you down or letting go of a relationship or aspects of a relationship. Use the Blood Worm Moon to get in tune with your spiritual side - do a moon ritual with incense, candles, crystals and take stock of all you have achieved over this lunar cycle.

Things you can focus on this lunation:

  • Spring clean your home.
  • Let go of undesirable aspects of your relationships,
  • Focuses on healthy ways of communicating.
  • Unload personal baggage.
  • Start new healthy habbits, like exercising first thing after waking.
  • Detox.
  • Sort out your paperwork or finances.
  • Go on a Moonlit walk

FULL MOON BEACH DANCE We will be dancing on the beach illuminated by the Full Moon. Harnessing the energy and power that surround this lunation to tune into our inner world and focus on making necessary changes to bring more light and positivity into our lives.

We gather on the 14 March 2025 between 18:30 and 20:00 under the light of the Worm Full Moon to dance, to connect, to meditate. We come together as a community to honour the cycles of the moon and what this may mean for us personally.

Indigenous American Tribes like the Naudowessie (Dakota) explain that the name Worm Moon refers to when beetle larvae emerge from the bark of trees as days start to get warmer. It is also a time when birds, like Robins, feast on earthworms who come to the surface as the earth warms at Springtime.

Other names for this moon are Eagle Moon, Goose Moon (Algonquin, Cree), or Crow Comes Back Moon (Northern Ojibwe), the Sugar Moon (Ojibwe), the Wind Strong Moon (Pueblo) and the Sore Eyes Moon (Dakota, Lakota).

BEAVER'S MOON 15 NOVEMBER 2024

We gather on 15 November 2024 at Branksome Chine Beach to dance, to share, to conduct simple ceremony. We gather as a community to honour the cycles of the moon and what this time may mean for us personally.

Beaver Full Moon on the 15 November 2024 is the last Supermoon of 2024. This is a time of year when beavers would retreat to their lodges, after storing enough food for the Winter months.

This full moon represents diligence, being prepared  and gathering the resources needed for what is to come over the colder, darker months. As the beaver has worked diligently to gather their resources and store enough food for Winter, so too are we being called to put in the effort necessary to gather our resources ensuring that we have enough of a supply to see us through the months ahead.

HUNTER's MOON

As the sun retreats to the South and Winter approaches, the Hunter's Moon is a time of introspection, where we take time for inner contemplation, to take stock of the harvest recently passed and the things in our own lives that are bearing fruit as a result of the focus,  intentions and actions we have taken.  This Autumn we are reminded to stay connected to the natural rhythms, to stay grounded and connected to our purpose.

The Hunter's Moon is a powerful celestial occurrence, where the moon rises earlier. It is the third supermoon of the year. This full moon symbolises clarity and encourages one to gather resources and focus on what is needed as we prepare for the coldest months ahead, as well as preparing for the forthcoming year.  We can use the illuminating energy of the full moon to gain insights into our own lives. Look at this as a times for spiritual growth and align yourself with your true values.  This Hunter's Moon is in Aries, and is a perfect time for you to harness the fiery energy and to take action on any new goals you have been cultivating..

We gather in a beautiful natural setting of Badbury Rings, illuminated by the brightness of the full moon.  Bring items that represent the year's experiences and reflect on the past year, acknowledge your triumphs and challenges, and areas of personal grow.  Express gratitude for the experiences you have gone through and the lessons you have learnt; gratitude those who have supported you this past year, and the changes that you have nurtured in yourself. Set intentions for the coming months, the hopes and dreams you will choose to focus on. Allow the Hunter's Moon to illuminate your dreams, goals and intentions.

Join us for our magical Full Moon Gatherings where we come together in celebration and dance under the enchanting glow of the full moon.  We meet at Badbury Rings, Wimborne on the night of the 17 October at 18:30 until 20:00.

Experience the magic of conscious dance in these unique and sacred locations as we come together to honor the cycles of the moon.

We only have a limited number of headsets. So please let us know in advance if you plan to join us.
